The First Amendment

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

This amendment lays the foundation for the remaining amendments and the entire Constitution.

I chose this video because it gives an explanation of the amendment, but keeps it short and sweet. The end of the video, I believe, helps give someone the knowledge of what they get and what they can do with the First Amendment.

I chose to add this photo because it shows how a democracy is held up by the First Amendment and the Constitution. As stated above, the First Amendment is the foundation of the Constitution.
