The Second Amendment

 "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

    

        The Second Amendment, in my opinion, tells us that we have the right to protect ourselves using firearms. This can and should include the government and anyone who is trying to take our lives or possessions.

    I chose this video because it tells the basic knowledge of the Second Amendment fast so people will be more likely to pick things up from it. The video also tells how this amendment isn't just about hunting, but other things like protecting ourselves.

    I decided to use this cartoon because, although the Second Amendment gives us the right to bear arms, it leaves some things in a gray area. For example, we should not just go around shooting people just because we want to. They have the right to protect themselves just as much as us. In reality, there is a very fine line that can be crossed when it comes to using the Second Amendment.

The Third Amendment

      "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law".          To put it simply, this amendment protects homeowners' right not to let soldiers stay in their homes in times of peace or war. An example I can give to better understand is that during World War II, many German soldiers stayed in random citizens' houses because there wasn't enough housing. If this had happened in the United States, it would have broken the Constitutional right of the Third Amendment.     I chose this video because it gives a deeper understanding of the Amendment.
